Glossary
“The Company”, “We” & “Our” refer to The Touring Sommelier Ltd, company number 14139039.
“The Customer”, “You” & “Your” refers to the person(s), company, firm or other body to whom service(s) and/or good(s) are to be supplied.
Responsible Person” is the person who We have been in communication with to organise & book the wine tasting experience.
“Event” the agreed wine tasting experience.
“Conditions” means the terms & Conditions set out below by The Company.
“Written” includes electronic communications to/from an official company address, such as The Company email address.
“Order Acknowledgement” & “Order Confirmation” means the Written acceptance by the compact of The Customer order.
“Photo Release ” is providing permission to The Company to use images taken from the Event for social media & advertising purposes.
“Customer Order” is an order issued on receiving an order form & refers to the order information received from the customer.
“Booking” the act of reserving a wine tasting event.
Booking & Payment Terms
An Order Confirmation is issued by The Company upon completion of the Order Form.
If the Order Form (completed by You) is incomplete We are unable to issue an Order Confirmation.
Your Booking is not secured until the 20% deposit payment has been received.
Deposit is due from You within 7 days of receiving the order confirmation by Us.
Final Payment is due 2 Weeks before the wine tasting Event,
Changes to an Event can only be made by The Customer up to 2 Weeks prior to the Event.
Final numbers for Events must be confirmed no later than 2 Weeks before the Event.
Cancellation Policy
You are able to choose a full refund, change of Event date (if convenient for both parties) or receive credit against any future Events if cancellation is received more than 2 Weeks prior to the Event.
If cancellation is received between 2 Weeks prior and up to the day of the Event, We reserve the right to keep the deposit and You are not eligible for a full refund.
When issuing refunds, We reserve the right to deduct unrecoverable payment processing fees incurred in relation to the Booking.
If the final payment has not been made within 10 days of the wine tasting Event We reserve the right to cancel the Event and no further refunds will be given.
In the Event of ‘no shows’, no refunds, credits or transfers will be provided.
If, due to unforeseen circumstances We need to postpone, cancel or reschedule an Event and an alternative date or credit note are not accepted We will refund the payment in full.
Events outside of our control (Force Majeure)
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing Our obligations where that failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond Our reasonable control. Such cases include, but are not limited to: power failure, internet service provider failure, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, riots and other civil unrest, fire, explosion, flood, storms, earthquakes, subsidence, acts of terrorism (threatened or actual), acts of war (declared, undeclared, threated, actual or preparations for war), epidemic or other natural disaster, or any other event that is beyond Our reasonable control.
If any event describe under Clause 4.1 that is likely to adversely affect Our performance of any of Our obligations under these Terms & Conditions:
We will inform You as soon as reasonably possible.
Our obligation under these Terms & conditions will be suspended and any time limits that we are bound to will be extended accordingly.
We will inform You when the event outside of Our control is over and provide details of any new dates, times or availability for the wine tasting event.
Behaviour
If any persons behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive to others, We reserve the right to ask them to leave the Event.
If any of Our staff feel in danger or in an inappropriate/threatening situation, We reserve the right to stop the Event and no refund will be provided.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are refundable 30 days after the date of purchase unless the gift voucher has been redeemed prior to the 30 days.
Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the purchase date.
Third party gift vouchers are not accepted
Photo Release
We require each party member to consent to permission for taking photos. This permission is requested when completing the ‘order form’. If all members of the party do not consent, please select ‘no’ or ‘other’.
Photography taken during the Event are for marketing & social media purposes.
providing permission to take photos ,The Customer waives the right to inspect or approve the use of the media and acknowledge and agree that the rights granted to this release are without compensation.
Dietary requirements & Allergens
The Customer must inform The Company of any allergies or dietary requirements when completing the order form.
The Touring sommelier Ltd will endeavour to provide suitable adaptations to the menu for any guests with special dietary requirements or allergies.
We cannot take responsibility for any guests unless advised in advance (no less than 2 weeks before the wine tasting Event).
Use of Property
The Customer agrees to pay for any loss or damage to any equipment, crockery, cutlery or glassware supplies by The Touring Sommelier Ltd for the Event.
Liability
We cannot accept liability under any claim whatsoever arising (be it negligence or otherwise) for any loss over the figure of the existing The Touring Sommelier Ltd public liability insurance. This figure may change from time to time and is available upon request together with a copy of our certificate.
